Scott Grommes has been with Cogent since 2012.  He has over 35 years of experience in tactical security operations and training, much in direct support of the nuclear security mission for the Department of Energy (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). While supporting these organizations he has served as a Protective Force Operations and Training subject matter expert, and as a liaison for International Security Support, focused on the joint security relationship between the United States and United Kingdom.

 

Prior to supporting the nation’s nuclear security mission, Scott completed a twenty-year career with the Albuquerque Police Department (Ret.), which included assignments to the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and the department’s training academy, where he served as a Basic Training Squad Supervisor and lead tactics instructor. He has also planned and participated in Dignitary Protection and Personal Protection Details for many high-profile clients throughout the United States.

 

Scott has a Master of Education degree in Leadership Training and Development, from Wayland Baptist University.​
