History

Cogent Security LLC was founded by Clay Whitchurch in 2010 to support the Office of Defense Nuclear Security (DNS) within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). In 2022, Cogent acquired Innovative Technology Partnerships (ITP), significantly expanding our employee base and capabilities. Today, Cogent employ 150+ professionals operating throughout the world supporting the Department of Energy, NNSA, national laboratories and sites, the Department of Defense, and commercial clients.
